Connor had a terrific time at his first ever birthday party! We had brunch with family and friends, let Connor devour his very first piece of cake, opened presents (with some help), practiced walking skills outside in the sunshine, tried out some very cool toys, played with balloons, and in general had a really wonderful day. I decided that I want to make Connor's cake every year - at least until he decides that he would rather have a store-bought version. Since he can't quite voice his preferences yet I made a pear cake - pears are his absolute favorite food. His Aunt Heather helped me with the decorating, and we had a great time doing it (thanks Heath)! Many, many thanks to everyone who shared in the celebration with us!!!
