First Steps!

Well, to be honest, these aren't his *first* steps... he's been taking little strings of steps between things or people for several weeks now. Usually he much prefers to have a hand (or finger) touching something as he speeds around the room - more for a sense of security than an actual need to hold on I think. He's a cautious little man, so I think he's going to take his time before he's really mobile walking around on his own. I do have a short video, which is probably a better way to share this, and will have to add that soon. At least this series gives you an idea - step, step, lunge!

Bookworm

Connor has more toys than any boy could ever want, but his favorite things without a doubt are books. Sometimes he's patient and listens to the whole story, sometimes he races through them by turning pages for us, and sometimes he flips through on his own babbling away a tale that only he understands. Regardless of the method, he loves them and they are a part of every day. Here he is reading "Runaway Bunny" and "10 Little Ladybugs" which is one of his favorites (thanks Aunt Kelly for letting us borrow it!).

Go Steelers!

Connor cheered for the Steelers along with us on Sunday night. Well, he watched the kickoff at least, enjoyed running around with the remote, and mooched snacks from us and the Nelsons (who came to watch the game and fed us awesome food). And, as we all know, it was a great game and Pittsburgh won!
